Women's Defensive Handgun 100


This is a women's only class designed to give a comfortable space for women to learn the basics of handgun safety and fundamentals. Taking a class with other women from a knowledgeable, fun instructor takes out the intimidation factor and facilitates learning. This course consists of classroom and live fire activity.

What to Bring

  • Wear pants with belt
  • Close-toed shoes
  • If you have one, bring your own pistol, holster, and spare magazines
  • Bring 100 rounds of pistol ammo
  • Eye protection and ear protection (electronic preferred)
  • Please bring your own lunch, snacks, and water

Please note this class does NOT qualify you for a Concealed Handgun Permit. Also please note there will be a $10 fee for those who aren't a member of the range.

About your instructorS

Colleen Van Gundy specializes in empowering, training, and educating women across Colorado and has done so for over 8 years. She focuses on defense and awareness training. Certification and training topics include Concealed Carry Permit, Situational Awareness and Refuse to be a Victim.

Cameron Yarberry

Firearms instructor, CPR/First Aid Instructor
Cameron Yarberry, owner of Urban & Rural Survival, is a Concealed Carry and Home Defense instructor and Range Safety Officer certified through the USCCA, as well as an NRA Pistol Instructor.

Cameron is also a certified BLS Instructor through the American Heart Association.

He was a volunteer fire fighter with Log Hill Fire Department, and currently lives off-grid in the Log Hill area near Montrose, CO.

    This is an in-person class. We will eventually be providing short how-to clips on specific skills related to this class.

    We do not currently offer any discounts on this class, however this will be an option in the future.
